Ace Activity Camp FAQ’s
Q. What are the times for the camp?
A. 8:30am until 4:30pm (Children may be collected up until 5pm)
Q.What time can I drop my child off at the camp?
A. The activity camp doors open at 8:30am and children can be dropped off up until 9.30am when the gates will be locked to secure the site.
Q. What time can I pick my child up?
A. Children can be picked up from 4:30pm up until 5pm. If you need to collect your child at an earlier time please speak to us at morning drop off to arrange this, children can be collected during any of our scheduled breaks or at lunchtime – 11am until 11.20am, 12.30pm until 1.30pm and 2.40pm until 3pm
Q. What age does my child have to be to attend the camp
A. The camp is open to all children aged 5 – 9 years (up until their 10th birthday)
Q. What does my child need to bring each day?
A. Your child needs to bring:
- we always recommend bringing a warm, waterproof coat
- shoes suitable for physical activities, such as trainers (no flip flops or crocs please)
- a refillable water bottle
- a packed lunch (no nut products)
- any medication your child is currently taking (please hand this in to staff upon arrival)
- sun cream and a hat on sunny days
Q. Can my child be with their friend each day?
A. Absolutely! Ace is FREE CHOICE all day everyday. Children are not put into groups – they are given 4 activities to choose from on each session and can pick whatever they like.
Q. My child requires a 1:1, can they attend the camp?
A. The Ace Activity Camp is an inclusive childcare provider, if your child requires a 1:1 staff member to support them please contact us prior to making a booking so that we can discuss requirements.
Please note that there is a deadline to apply for 1:1 funding which is 3 weeks prior to the start date of any school holiday. For example, if you wish your child to attend on the 2nd week of August you must book 3 weeks prior to the summer school holidays begin. Ace Activity Camp will apply for and secure funding on your behalf.
Q. Can my child choose which activities they participate in?
A. Yes, every day at Ace is FREE CHOICE for all children. Each child picks their own activities all day and can repeat their favourites as many times as they wish! The only exception to this is that children can only pick computers once per day maximum.
Q. Where do the camps take place?
A. Ace Activity Camp takes place at: Sacred Heart Primary School, 40 St Mark’s Rd, Teddington TW11 9DD
unless indicated otherwise.
Q. Can I contact you during the day?
A. Should you need to contact us during a camp day that your child is with us please call either 07368487672 or 07944461041. As you can imagine Ace is a very active and busy day so if there is no answer please leave a message or send a WhatsApp and we will contact you back asap.
Q. Can someone else collect my child?
A. If someone else is to collect your child please inform us of this at the desk in the morning or via email/WhatsApp no later than 3pm that day. We will require the full name of the person who is collecting your child. You can provide a password if you wish.
Q. How can I book an additional early start option?
A. Ace operates an all inclusive price regardless of what time you drop off or collect your child. We do not charge extra for ‘early drop off’. Children can be dropped off anytime from 8.30am up until 9.30am.
